Security and privacy
Privacy was the first requirement.
Built for HIPAA obligations, on HIPAA-eligible infrastructure. Records are encrypted under a key unique to each clinic, and no photograph, transcript or summary is shared between clinics.
No face is ever stored
A face in frame is detected on the device and again on the server, and refused both times.

The camera will not open, and a session will not start, until the patient's consent is recorded.
